Scholarship & Innovation

Scholarship and innovation are integral to interprofessional education at the University of Oklahoma Health Campus (OUHC). Our work advances the understanding of how collaborative education and practice shape learners, teams, and health outcomes—while contributing tools, frameworks, and evidence to the national interprofessional community.

Scholarly Focus Areas

Interprofessional scholarship at OUHC is grounded in applied inquiry and continuous improvement. Our focus areas include:

  • Interprofessional curriculum design and evaluation
  • Team‑based clinical and community practice
  • Faculty development and educator preparation
  • Patient‑ and community‑engaged education models
  • Measurement of teamwork and collaborative behaviors

These areas reflect the intersection of education, practice, and health system needs, ensuring that scholarship remains relevant and actionable.
