Dr. Raina Leckie, DSW, LCSW, has worked at the University of Oklahoma for 10 years, and brings expertise in social work, mental health practice, and higher education to her new role as IPE Project Manager.

She is passionate about interprofessional education, student engagement, and patient-centered community health practice. Raina joins the IPE team in a full-time staff position focused on managing, Unity Clinic, our award winning interdisciplinary learning and practice clinical educational experience for students.

Raina has worked with OU Health Stephenson Cancer Center. She has also worked with the OU College of Medicine Department of Psychiatry where she focused on health psychology, and with the Anne and Henry Zarrow School of Social Work where she served as the Coordinator for the Center for Social Work in Healthcare. She continues to teach and mentor social work students as an MSW Field Instructor, and  continues her private practice, and community engagement as a  chair and member of various community advocacy groups and an active contributor to statewide professional organizations.

Raina graduated in the inaugural “E.P.I.C.” cohort of the IPE clinical experience students and maintained involvement with interdisciplinary programs from that point forward! As a faculty leader, she served as co-chair for the Interprofessional Educators & Practitioners Association (IEPA) Curriculum Committee, Student-Faculty Committee, IEPA Chair 2021-2022, and has contributed to the IPE Program Evaluation team.

Raina completed the Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Central Florida in 2013, the Master of Social Work degree at the University of Oklahoma, and the Doctorate of Social Work at the University of Tennessee. Dr. Leckie’s doctoral research focused on interprofessional identity theory.

Her ability to connect with students, faculty and staff in ways that encourage engagement, growth, and collaboration makes her an excellent contributor and colleague for the road ahead!
