Proposals for Collaboration

The Office of Interdisciplinary Programs has a mission to develop, implement, and evaluate campus-wide interdisciplinary/interprofessional educational activities. We collaborate with students, faculty, clinicians, and staff across the university to deliver, replicate, and sustain innovative and meaningful academic initiatives.

To ensure our work is intentionally interdisciplinary and will meet accreditation requirements for interprofessional education, we have created a short process to assist our campus collaborators in planning their IPE activities.

IPE Worksheet

A few tenets of interprofessional education must be met to qualify an educational activity as IPE. These include:

  • Competency-Based Planning: Activity must be based in the IPEC Competencies for Interprofessional Education
  • Learners: Projects must include students from two or more professions (at HSC we encourage three or more from two or more colleges)
  • IPE Foundations: Must meet the WHO definite ensuring students learn about, from, and with each other
  • Measurable: All activities must include an evaluation or assessment plan
  • Sustainability and Scalability: Our intention is to provide programming to the entire campus, every year.

Please use the IPE Worksheet to guide your planning.

Please contact our office with any questions about the form or opportunities to collaborate.
