The Unity Clinic is a student-run and faculty-supervised
clinical experience at the University of Oklahoma Health
Sciences. It is not a physical location but rather
a community health education program that focuses
on providing comprehensive primary care to medically
underserved populations in Oklahoma. We use the OU
Health Sciences Explorer, a mobile outreach vehicle, to
partner with various locations in the state and deliver health
care services directly to communities in need.
Our primary aim is to create a mutually beneficial
experience for our students and the patients they serve. Our
students gain valuable knowledge and skills in community
primary care, while patients have the opportunity to receive
care from multiple health care professionals during a single
visit. Our teams include students from all OUHS Colleges
and the OU Norman Anne and Henry Zarrow School of Social Work.
We strive to ensure that all OUHS graduates have had the
chance to work with the Unity Clinic.
